“Gilt Pages” Collection: Note Cards and Invitations

This year I resolve to “Make the time, to take the time” and today I wanted to take the time to express this concept to you!

Health (exercise/dieting) Philanthropy, Spirituality…
Not that I have mastered such major subjects, or by any means intend to abandon the goal of doing so… But rather than resolving to reach utopia in one single year, I have decided that I will dedicate 2009 to make room for the little things that add up to bring true quality to my life. I am beyond fortunate to find such peace and joy in my work at The Gilt Studio, as gilding with Karat leaf , to me, is a beautifully slow, delicate, and calming process. However, as we all know, there is more to life than ones work. So, in efforts to exercise my “work ethic” in the rest of my life…

This year I promise to “Make the time to take the time” to:

-Actually use my hand woven place mats… even if just for cereal by myself
-Go to the Wednesday farmers’ market, and actually COOK all of my beautiful vegetables
-Bring IN my reusable grocery bag to the store, and not just haul it around in my car!
-Write all of my Holiday Thank You notes before Valentine’s Day
-NOT save my most beautiful stationary and invitations for just the right occasions. (Seriously, I still have a great set from when I was 14…I’m now 28…Seriously?!)

Even more so, this year, I encourage you, as well, to make the time to take the time. I encourage you to find beauty in details, joy in simplicity, and most importantly: EXPRESS YOUR GILT!
