The Junior League of Austin asked The Gilt Studio to donate our Gilding Repair Services for a broken shipment of Resin Cast Antlers to be used as decoration for this year’s annual fundraiser that is A Christmas Affair.

This year’s theme is “it’s a wild holiday”- an African Safari, lends itself to dress the Palmer Event Center with such fantastics as exotic animal prints and far out florals. All decorations are designed to not only set the mood for the holliday shoping spirit, but to also be re-sold to in helping raise proceeds to be donated back to the Austin Commuity.

These three foot resin cast antlers are to hang above the wine bar bringing an exotic elegance to the table.  After two shipments of broken Resin Cast Antlers later, the Junir League found it better to ask The Gilt Studio to repair the four less broken of the series, rather than waist more time and money shipping back and forth, only to see no improvement.

The Gilt Studio donated a “Gilt Certificate” Package to Ballet Austin’s Silent Auction: Fete*ish Fundraiser Party. Decorated to satisfy each and every desire, Fete*ish was a Moulon Rouge inspired event where upon entering the guests were tantalize down the red carpet marked by a row of promiscuous legs leading the way, and finally roped in through the front door with feather boas waiting for all. Entertained with scantily clad acrobatic dancers scattered throughout the crowd, a top notch burlesque performance and party goers dressed to thematically impress, this Party Fete*ish was satisfied!

Tux and I wanted to let you know that he had his surgery yesterday, and the Doctor said he was an exemplary patient. We have about 7 weeks of recovery and therapy ahead if us, but are most thankful for it.

We could not have done it without such a prompt and AMAZING turnout of generosity in support, advice, and donations. We are so thankful and forever grateful. Please keep your eye on the mail, as your “Gilt T-Bone” Dogie Treat should be arriving to you shortly, as our smallest gesture of gratitude!!!!!!

My Armani “Tuxito”,  custom made to fit just me, has a tear in the leg and needs to be me nded…

My dog Tux, the “Cha-weeny,” is in needy… he tore the equivalent of  his ACL in his bac k left leg, which has caused his knee bone to fall out of place. “The Tuxter” needs surgery to replace the severed ligament to avoid a crippling life of Arthritis and miss-use.

Otherwise… No more “Chase!”, on the beach for “The Flying Nun” and no more “Wrestling Imaginary Friends” (I love that one! haha!) for “Pedro Martinez Gonzales, The Third”.

“Tuxie” brings a smile to everyone he meets with his heart of Gold. I owe him everything I can give, and have given him all that I have. Following my Heart, I have scrimped and saved but still don’t have what it takes to give him a  new leg patch on my own. I cannot afford this bill, but I can ask for help.

“Chicks Ahoy!”

Together, a group of creative talents donated their vision of an ARTFULL BRA, to help raise money for Corpus Christi’s First Friday Event, to provide mammograms for women who could not otherwise afford to do so.

The Designers are Carol Thaxton, Lesly Mora, and The Gilt Studio!

Our theme was “The Capitan’s “Sea” Cup” Bra, appropriate for the coastal city and every woman’s “Treasure Chest”!

Also, check out South Carolina’s Quilter Society’s participation in a previous Artfull Bras Project also raising money for breast Cancer Awareness.

Thanks Ladies for including The Gilt Studio in such a wonderful cause and hope our Capitan’s “Sea” Cup causes a stir!
